Warming up with a new $31 barre. |
My daughter loves to practice ballet at home when she isn't in the studio, but has a hard time really doing much since she needs a ballet barre for most things these days.
The problem is that for a family on a budget it’s difficult to shell out anywhere between $99 and $300 to have a barre at home.
Thanks to my daughter’s YouTube addiction, we were able to make a lightweight, ballet barre out of PVC pipe and parts for $31. Price will vary depending on store and location, I’m sure. Oh, here's that video we found that inspired us.
I had a great time heading off to Lowe’s with Emma to get the parts we needed to make this barre a reality. We almost came home with a 15-foot inflatable Nutcracker, too.
Almost ditched the project for this guy. |
